Laura Suárez runs Habatonka Factoría Dulce, a sweetery paradise in La Orotava (Tenerife).
She not only makes a range of pastries, but also produces cakes and tarts to demonstrate her considerable balance with the world of sweetness. She began her career in 2014 after gaining the Grand Diplôme de la Pâtisserie at Madrid's Cordon Bleu school. She worked in major restaurants such as DiverXo, and aged 24 she opened the Haydée restaurant with her brother Víctor, heading up the sweet section. In 2019 she won the Canary Islands' regional pastrymaking award, in 2021 she opened her first Habatonka, and the second in 2022.
She was a finalist in the Madrid 2023 Revelation Pastrymaker competition.
