Federico Cardona works for the integration of science, sustainability and care for the oceans.

After graduating in Marine Sciences from the University of Cadiz and obtaining a PhD in Integrated Coastal Zone Management from the University of the Balearic Islands, Federico has experience in scientific knowledge transfer and development and implementation of marine basin strategies in Europe, as well as coordinator of several European projects to promote the sustainable development of nautical and coastal tourism in the Mediterranean.

Since joining the group, he is responsible for the development and implementation of projects in line with the Iberostar group's Coastal Health strategy in Europe and North Africa. In line with Wave of Change, Iberostar's commitment to the oceans and responsible tourism, his goal is to achieve an improvement in the environment and ecosystems in all destinations where the Iberostar group has a hotel presence by 2030.
