Round table
Is aquaculture the future of food?

Aquaculture under debate in search of a sustainable solution to the problem of human food supply.
Aquaculture, or the farming of aquatic organisms, is widely regarded as a vital sector for the future of food production, particularly given its capacity to boost yields sustainably and alleviate pressure on wild fish stocks. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) estimates that more than 65% of the aquatic food consumed worldwide will come from aquaculture by 2030.
