Ocean flavours
The great transoceanic voyages of the Renaissance connected distant cultures, promoting the exchange of technology, knowledge and flavours, and transforming the world.
This shared history of oceanic exploration led to the creation of new culinary combinations and the global circulation of ingredients and food practices. The replica transoceanic galleon San Juan will soon be ready to revive this cultural dimension throughout its archaeological voyage. This presentation will explore all of this in more depth.
